After a visit to Switched On Austin, I picked up what’s called a Roland MC-300 from 1988!
The system is a full-fledged Tracker/MIDI interface, and can even save songs to a 3½” Floppy diskette:
And here are all of the ports on the back. Note the MIDI- perhaps to be used with the ArduinoBoy?
